This week we were given our new brief. A setting project, where we are able to set anything to metal such as gemstones, stones, glass or wood. We have to research into religious or spiritual meanings or symbols. I'm finding this project brief interesting and looking forward to looking into all the meanings of gemstones and rocks. I am unsure what rock or material I am going to use but I have been looking into the way gemstones can help emotions and bring positive energies to someone. I think this is the root I am going to go down, just got lots of researching to do now and practice stone setting. The image above is of watermelon tourmaline a gemstone I've been researching. It is the gemstone of friendship and love.
