Felting

During the past few weeks I have been doing a few workshops, one which I really enjoyed was felting. I find this material very interesting and think it can be used in jewellery pieces in very interesting ways. I like the use of layering different colours together. My piece was made by teasing felt and layering up different colours of felt on top of each other. The piece is placed between to sheets of fabric them sewing together and put in the washing machine. The result is amazing the piece is all layered together with some of the colours showing through each other. I would like to make some pieces of jewellery using felt in the future. I think it creates a natural soft effect to a piece of jewellery. I'll get the picture up soon of me felt sample.
