Recently Leanne Evans and I held another 'Make a Ring Workshop' in Aberdeen this time as part of HacknMake.
To warm us up Leanne taught her boyfriend how to make a ring!
Each class you can learn how to saw, solder,
design and make a silver and brass ring.

This Week I had the opportunity to go and visit DJCAD's Degree Show.

Up first is obviously the Jewellery and Metal Department!
First and foremost...
The Wonderful Lucie Hunter Jewellery!!
Lucie has beautiful detailed stone set jewellery and amazing photography.
(slightly biased my sister is the model)
Pamela Goodman - Amazing jewellery and photography!
Beth Lamont's ceramic work created a beautiful sense of calm.
Ali Taylor's work stood out this year. He even managed to get his own room!
Kirsty Nicholson's Rings, donation were given to charity.
Leanne and I had fun with Patricia Lip's Work.
Then came along the Fine Art. Natasha Dijkhoff

On Sunday the 8th of April myself and Leanne Evans of Leanne T Evans Jewellery, packed our jewellery suitcases and headed off to Edinburgh for the Mini Makers Faire in Summerhall, Edinburgh.
My cool wee badge for the day!!
This was our room for the day it was in an old veterinary school,
we were in the old dissection rooms!
The aim for the day was for Leanne and I to teach everyone
how to make a silver ring with brass detail.
First time teaching nerves began to kick in!!!
But as the day went on I realised I LOVE teaching!!
Who would have thought?!

My brand new bench peg certainly got put to good use!!!
