Gold Flakes into a Pendant

An interesting commission opportunity came along recently when an old friend told me of their gold panning adventures and asked if I could make a pendant for a gift using the gold flakes they had gathered.

Working together we decided the best option would to have them set in either resin or made with glass. 

I decided to get in touch with an university friend Helen Chalmers who makes jewellery with glass.

I sent over the designs and the Gold Flakes and this is what I received a beautiful glass pendant with the flakes inside! I added this to a gold chain and volia!!
